What's the difference between embroidery and heat transfers?

Embroidery gives a durable, textured finish that looks premium, making it perfect for polos, jackets, and caps. Heat transfers deliver bold, vibrant colour and fine detail, ideal for tees, hi vis, and detailed logos.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom workwear?

Generally, it's 20 units, but this can vary depending on the garment and branding method. Contact Bassi Workwear for specific requirements for your order.

How long does it take to receive my custom workwear order?

The typical turnaround time is approximately 15-20 business days from order confirmation. Rush orders may be available depending on the branding method and quantity.

What customisation options does Bassi Workwear offer?

Bassi Workwear offers multiple customisation options including custom embroidery, screen printing services, and Heatpress Transfers. These services allow you to add your company logo and branding to a wide range of workwear items.

Does Bassi Workwear sell directly to the public?

No, Bassi Workwear operates on a B2B (business-to-business) model and does not sell direct to the public. They specialize in providing customised workwear, uniforms, and merchandise for businesses and organizations.

What types of workwear items can be customised?

Bassi Workwear can customise a wide range of items including polos, t-shirts, jackets, caps, bucket hats, singlets, hoodies, long sleeve tees, corporate shirts, hi-vis apparel, and custom socks. They cater to both office wear and tradie gear.

Where is Bassi Workwear located?

Bassi Workwear is based in Melbourne, Australia. They service businesses throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area and beyond.

What makes Bassi Workwear's Heatpress Transfers different?

What is a uniform management system?

A uniform management system is a platform that handles everything involved in running a staff uniform program — from setting up a branded catalogue and managing employee allowances, to processing orders, controlling who can order what, and keeping records across multiple sites.

What does the Bassi Workwear uniform management platform include?

The BWW platform gives each staff member a personal login to a branded ordering portal. They can browse the approved catalogue, spend within their allocated allowance, and place orders without involving HR or admin. Managers get full visibility over orders, spending, and stock across the entire workforce.

How do employee allowances work?

Each employee or group is set up with a defined allowance — either a dollar value or a set number of items per year. Staff can only order up to their allowance, preventing over-ordering or unauthorised purchases. Allowances reset on whatever cycle suits the business.

What size business is the uniform management system suited to?

Bassi Workwear's uniform management system suits businesses from around 20 staff up to several hundred, and works especially well for companies with multiple teams, sites, or job roles with different garment or allowance needs.

Can staff from different sites or departments have different catalogues?

Yes. Separate catalogues can be set up for different teams, sites, or employment types — so each group only sees the garments and items relevant to their role.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most clients are up and running within 2–4 weeks. That includes garment selection, branding sign-off, catalogue setup, employee onboarding, and a test run before going live.

Do you handle garment supply as well as the platform?

Yes. Bassi Workwear is a complete uniform solution — sourcing and supplying garments, applying branding (embroidery, heat transfer, or screen print), building the catalogue, and running the ordering platform. Clients deal with one supplier for everything.

What happens when a new employee joins?

Adding a new staff member takes minutes — they're given a login, assigned to the right catalogue and allowance group, and can place their first order straight away. When someone leaves, their account is deactivated and unused allowance is returned.

Can the platform integrate with our payroll or HR system?

Bassi Workwear currently integrates with Xero for invoicing, with further integrations in development. Businesses with specific HR or payroll platforms are encouraged to get in touch to discuss their setup.

How do we get started with Bassi Workwear?

The first step is a conversation about team size, current uniform management, and goals. Bassi Workwear then provides a proposal covering garment selection, branding, platform setup, and pricing — based in Melbourne and serving businesses across Australia.
